HOPKINTON, R.I. (WPRI) - Governor Lincoln Chafee met with small business owners in Hopkinton today to address some of the problems they face.
The event at Hopkinton Town Hall was part of the Governor's "Year of the Cities and Towns" events.? RI Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Keith Stokes was also in attendance.
Business owners were able to bring their concerns to Chafee and Stokes, while the two men were able to talk to them about some of the resources the state makes available to grow businesses in Rhode Island.
"They wanted to hear about the different loan programs, some of the energy programs," Chafee told Eyewitness News.? "We can get the solar power, wind power...those are all available to businesses."
